Licensed by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, since October 2020, the Gates of Beautiful (GOB) opened its doors for the purpose of providing quality day support services for adults with behavioral and intellectual disabilities.
The mission of the program as envisioned by Gates of Beautiful founder Lydia Ngundam, strives to provide individuals with access to, participation in and benefits from person-centered programs and activities.

Like several businesses, GOB was impacted by the pandemic. During this time, Gates of Beautiful and its growth partners revisited its mission to sustain and ensure continued success.
GOB collaborated with internal and external stakeholders to cultivate a safe, thriving, and inclusive environment where innovation, technology, arts and the dedication of staff empowers, encourages and uplifts its participants which reside throughout Prince William County, Manassas Park, City of Manassas, Fairfax, County and surrounding areas in the state of Virginia.
GOB recognizes diversity and inclusion as crucial components at GOB, and having the support of public leaders, community ambassadors and volunteers is an essential part of our individuals exposure and community integration. GOB welcomes when our public leaders, service heroes, and community volunteers take time from their busy schedules to visit with GOB Individuals.
Most recently, the program welcomed visits from Michelle Davis-Younger, Mayor of Historic Manassas, the Manassas Fire Department allowed our Individuals to enjoy the fire truck and spoke about safety. Additionally, a team of volunteers stopped by during the holiday season dressed as Santa and his helpers to name a few…and there is more to come as GOB is making writing its story every day with the compassion, commitment and determination of making GOB the greatest.
